Jason DeMers wrote an article on Dec 27, 2017 on "7 Social Media Trends that will dominate in 2018." The one that I think we will continue to see for a long time is number 7 on the list is; "How local and personal experiences will sharply increase in popularity." I already see this everywhere now but I think people are starting to get more confident in posting to their social media about their businesses.

I follow many different clothing store's on Instagram and Facebook and they are constantly having different contests you can enter to win something from them. I really is a smart thing to do because you are engaging with your followers and getting your name out there. It is really popular to see all different company's post things like "tag two of your friends and share this post to be entered to win" and people do it. They more people tag, the more people see it, the more people are interested in what you have going on. It really is just a chain effect. This to me is one of the best ways to have your name out there no matter what type of business you are in. Many companies like Rodan&Fields, Arbonne, LimeLight, Plexus, the list goes on an on, they all are engaging people on every social media account in hopes of finding someone who will ask them about what they are selling. It is a genius way of marketing to the public without ever even needing to speak with them in person. It is quick and easy and the best way to reach people.
